It can function as a long ranged heavy archer tower, but also as a barracks. There's also paid towers that were introduced, and some of them are insanely overpowered. So you have Bone Flingers tiers 1-4 instead of vanilla archer tiers 1-3 with Bone Flingers being the tier 4 upgrade option. One example would be the Bone Flingers, which are part of the archer tower family, but are separate from the others.
